He eschews the usual good-ole’-boy narratives about getting the girl and whooping it up on Saturday night, and opts instead for a full range of emotional variables. The opening entreaty of “Come and Get Your Happiness” leads into the decidedly upbeat “Built for Speed” and the further enthusiasm of songs such as “Nine Hundred Ninety-Five,” “Make Time” and “Ghost,” and then well beyond.
